"How To" Take a Selfie Like a Pro !

How was everyones weekend?!

We hope it was wonderful and spent with family, friends, and all the loving dad's out there for Father's Day.

This weekend we took a lot of selfies! With our dads, with our family, and some by ourselves. ;) That is what inspired today's blog.

Selfies are tricky so we thought we would share some of our favorite tips for taking the best IG worthy selfie! 😘

1. Look Up Toward the Camera

As you are pointing your chin upward, try slightly raising your eyebrows to make your eyes appear larger.

Also pro tip: try and think of something that really makes you happy. This will really make you genuinely smile and it will shine through in your photo!

2. Know Your Angles

Instead of holding your phone straight in front of you, manipulate the phone from side to side to get your flawless angle.

3. Lighting is EVERYTHING

This is the key to getting that perfect selfie. Natural lighting is the secret to most beauty guru / bloggers in how they take such amazing photos.

Instead of facing a computer screen,TV, or even a selfie light... better yet go outside and use the sun's glow to glee down on your face.

The natural sunlight can actually make any underage circles and shadows completely disappear!

4. Take Alot of Selfies!

This is a tip straight from the selfie Queen herself Kylie Jenner says she takes like 500 selfies before she finds the one she likes enough to post!

Try tilting your head in different directing and changing the angles cup slightly between each shot so there's a variety to choose from.

5. Don't Over-Edit

While we're all for a little editing and filtering too much can ruin the photo.

Don't adjust your selfie to the point that it look unnatural, or not you!

If you are using a filter you have the option to adjust the capacity of the filter. Instead of just selecting a photo filter, click on the filter itself until you see a sliding bar that you are able to adjust. We suggest not always using it to max capacity.

6. Don't Over Think It 

Rule of thumb: just relax!

A trying too-hard selfie is never going to be a good one. 

The thing about selfies is you don't want to be too serious. If you're make up is done to the 9s and you're posing to hard you're just not doing it right.

The best selfie's are the ones are come natural to you.
