"How To" change small habits to lead a more mindful life!

Hi Dolls!

We hope you all enjoyed your weekend! We are back today with another "How To" on the topic of mindfulness. 

While there's no way to avoid all of life's unexpected stressors, we can work on a few simple tasks to help us lead a more positive happy life. 

These few daily habits that we implement will help us be able to handle the things in life that we can't control.

Here are the tips... 


1. Plan For a NO Phone Hour





Planning time to power down is so essential. Whether we work from our devices or are scrolling through social media, it's important to take a break and not always be available to respond.

 An hour before bed is a great time to power down, giving yourself time to reflect on the day.

Or maybe you make a rule that every time you have a meal, you will put the phone away. 

Whatever works for you! Just start to plan an hour a day to put it away and really be in the present.

2. Go For a Walk





Planning some outdoor time will do wonders for your soul.

Why not drink your morning coffee or tea and go for a little walk in your neighborhood?

Observe all of the things you hear, smell, and see. Taking a moment to enjoy nature and the outdoors will help you feel more mindful and put you in a great place to start your day.

3. Allow Your Mind to Wander





This one is so important; we sometimes feel we always need to be so focused, when really, your mind sometimes just needs a small break.

When you are at work and you notice your mind starting to wander a bit, let it. Instead of pushing away those thoughts, recognize them.

Take a moment to see what you are trying to tell yourself or what you're noticing. Thank your mind for bringing you these thoughts. 

It's much easier to take 5 minutes to listen to your mind than trying to shove these thoughts away to get back on task.

These small everyday habits don't seem like much, but when practiced, they really can change a lot about your life...

Our biggest piece of advice with this is planning.

Wake up a little earlier! Plan to give yourself the time or plan to practice to implement some of these habits in your everyday life.
